Why should you always use sun protection?
The use of sun protection is essential because it protects your skin from harmful UV radiation from the sun. This helps prevent skin aging, reduces the risk of skin cancer, and maintains a healthy and even complexion in the long term.
What does SPF mean?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor, which indicates the level of protection against sunburn. The number represents the factor by which someone can stay in the sun longer than they would without protection.
For example: Someone with skin type 2 burns in the midday sun after about 20 minutes. When using a sunscreen with SPF 6, sunburn occurs after 6 times 20 minutes, so after 2 hours. Therefore, this person can stay in the sun for 2 hours with this sunscreen, even though they have applied it well. However, this also dependents on the amount of sunscreen applied, the person's activities (such as swimming or sweating), the location, the time of day, and the season. The duration of protection may vary depending
on these factors.
Does using a higher SPF result in less tan?
Not necessarily. While a higher SPF provides better protection against sunburn, it doesn't necessarily decrease the
tanning process. You can still achieve a tan, though it may take longer compared to using a lower SPF or no sunscreen at all.
Do you still tan when sitting in the shade?
Yes, absolutely! While direct sunlight is the primary factor for tanning, exposure to indirect sunlight in the shade can still result in some degree of tanning.
How much sunscreen should I apply each time?
To achieve the protection indicated by the SPF, an adult applying sunscreen from head to toe should use approximately 6 - 7 teaspoons, equivalent to about 33 ml. With a 200 ml bottle, you can cover yourself approximately 6 times from head to toe. Applying too little sunscreen results in a lower level of protection than stated on the packaging. A useful tip is to apply sunscreen as generously as you would spread peanut butter on a slice of bread.

How long does it take to receive my order?
We aim to ship your order within 1-2 business days after placement. Shipping is handled by GLS or PostNL, and delivery times may vary by country.
Can I return the order?
You are welcome to return the product within 14 days of receiving it (the product must be unused). You can do this by sending an email to info@caresse-cosmetics.nl. Once you have received confirmation from us, you must return the product within 14 days. Upon receiving the product, we will refund the full purchase amount within 7 working days. The cost of return shipping is at your expense.
